The Scholarship Exams
Scholarship exams taken in Year 8 represent a highly competitive and advanced set of assessments across various subjects, typically aimed at securing academic scholarships to prestigious Senior Schools.
Scholarship Exams
The scholarship exams, including the ISEB CASE, are some of the most challenging tests students face when applying to top secondary schools. These exams require a deep understanding of subjects like Maths, and English they test students' ability to apply their knowledge in more complex, problem-solving scenarios. Unlike standard tests, scholarship exams often assess critical thinking and the ability to interlink concepts across subjects, making comprehensive, targeted revision essential for success throughout the year.

Structure of Exams
Generally top secondary schools will have individual sets of scholarship exams. While the syllabus for these exams are similar and based around what students cover in year 8, the questions tend to be more difficult. Exam and paper subjects and formats or similar to the regular common entrance except question tend to be harder.
Our tutors can offer advice and exam guidance for the specific scholarship exam a student intends to sit.

I am studying A-Levels in Further Maths and Maths, with A* predictions and a 9 in GCSE Maths. My focus is on preparing students for scholarship exams at top schools like St Paul’s and Westminster, where maths tests require students to interlink concepts from algebra and geometry. I guide students through past scholarship papers, teaching advanced techniques for both calculator and non-calculator sections, and provide strategies to tackle the challenges of timed exams. I'm available on weekends and some weekdays to help students aiming for academic excellence.

I go to Westminster School, I have been tutoring part-time for 2 years and I have worked with students for the ISEB test, focusing on the maths and reasoning components. However, I mainly focus on the secondary tests which are specific for each school. Most tests will have a maths portion which I can help with. I worked with students that have got into top schools such as Eton and St Paul's in the past..
